Ambassador program:

We invite adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to volunteer weekly in classrooms. Ambassadors gain meaningful work and life experience while interacting with students during free play and gym time. Ambassadors are always accompanied by a Direct Support Professional. Ambassadors develop a positive relationship with students and staff, and preschoolers gain an understanding and appreciation of others with differing abilities.

Grandfriends:

Grandfriends from Touchmark visit Peace Academy twice a month for special activities with preschoolers. Intergenerational relationships benefit everyone involved - children grow in empathy and emotional intelligence, while older adults enjoy improved mental health, reduced isolation, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Harvest Hope Farm:

Food scraps from our kitchen go to the animals at Harvest Hope Farm which teaches children about sustainability. HHF provided hydroponic growing stations for both Peace Academy campuses.
