Ambassador Program

Preschool ambassadors are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who volunteer each week in a classroom and gain meaningful work and life experience. Ambassadors interact with students during free play and gym time. Ambassadors may be assigned extra work tasks that enhance the goals set by parents of the ambassador such as shredding paper or helping with gardening. Ambassadors are always accompanied by a Direct Support Professional. 

Ambassadors develop a positive relationship with students and staff, and preschoolers gain an understanding and appreciation of others with differing abilities.
