Our program is built around play-based learning because we know that child-led open-ended play is critical to children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Our staff are trained in The Nurtured Heart Approach®. This relationship-based method focuses on helping children use their intensity in positive and successful ways. We celebrate the greatness in every child and aim to build deeper, stronger relationships with children, families, and staff.
It is our goal to equip parents with tools and resources to enrich and enhance their role as parents. We offer monthly parent education sessions on child development, early intervention, and the Nurtured Heart Approach®.
It is proven that parents who are well-trained in the Nurtured Heart Approach have the tools for not energizing negativity, strategies for building Inner Wealth™, and clarity around rules and boundaries. Parents gain these skills that transfer to the workplace and strengthen our community.
We invite adults with developmental disabilities to volunteer in our classrooms and gain meaningful work and life experience. Through this program, ambassadors and students create positive relationships and students develop an awareness and appreciation for others with differing abilities. Peace Academy is a place where all are welcome.
Peace Academy collaborates with OT Doctoral Students from UND and the University of Mary.

Seeds of faith planted by your family will be watered and grown while your child is here through prayer, Christian songs and stories, celebration of Christmas and Easter, and celebrating the unique God-given gifts of each person. As an organization, we believe children are a gift from God filled with grace and goodness. We believe in treating each child with dignity and respect. If faith has not been part of your family's life, your child will experience the seeds of faith being planted and God's love through our nurturing staff and environment.
